If you are a Floridian...:)

Sunny morning, and an hour later, black clouds are coming along…Floridians know how unpredictable the weather can be here:). Especially in the summer, rain can be a frequent visitor even when you are not ready which reminds you to keep an umbrella with you when you leave the house.

What arm muscles do we use when holding an umbrella and closing it?

We use Biceps Brachii and Triceps Brachii, A.K.A Biceps and Triceps. Imagine you are lifting a weight making a curl towards your body, holding a baby close to your chest or carrying a bag filled with groceries. There is the same pattern in your inner arm as holding an umbrella in the rain…You are using Biceps Brachii. And you are using Triceps Brachii once you release your bent arm putting down what you may have in your arms.

As the names suggest, Biceps Brachii have two Origins, at the end of your shoulders and Insertion is at the inner elbow. Triceps Brachii have three Origins at the back of your outer arms, and Insertion is located at the hard round bone on your elbow. (If you bend your elbow, you will feel this bone immediately:))
