What usually comes in your thought when cooking?

Cooking can be simple only to take care of your hunger or it can be more than that. No right or wrong answer but I would like to put effort when I cook. I do enjoy cooking. Most of my dishes are Korean as a South Korean native but I also challenge myself by cooking non-Korean dishes. 

No matter what I cook, I would like to spend time choosing the ingredients-I try to avoid pre-made products, check the origin of the ingredients, and cook from scratch as much as possible. I also would like to assure the condition of the cooking tools, that is, how I cook, and the nutritious benefits.

My husband and I found this gem from our recent trip to Bordeaux, France. It was a small local sandwich shop that bakes their baguette in their shop. I came to realize that a sandwich can be a piece of art after this visit. The vegetables, ham, and pickles were wonderful but the highlight was the baguette bread. Hard to describe the perfection. We were lucky enough to see the owner’s magic box as below:

She was seriously checking the cooler temperature and the fermentation status. Great to see that because that really shows how much she cares about her career and customers. 

My mother used to say cooking depends on the time spent before putting it on the table. The more time spent the better quality you will serve to your loved ones, and I truly believe that. Just like cooking, I see my clients seriously- I repeatedly practice Pilates exercises on my own body so the choreography can be maintained and become as natural as possible, remind myself of what parts of my body and muscles are sensed, what the most challenging movement of each exercise is, and my clients' goals in my programming.
