Sooo…why did I choose to become a Pilates instructor?

Pilates dominated my mind after benefitting from the incredible muscular connection via the art of Pilates movements over the last six years. Working in a very busy office as a special issuance passport agent for the U.S. Navy for years gradually declined my physical and mental health and left me with dramatic weight loss in a very short period of time and increased anxiety. Thanks to Pilates, however, I have regained my physical and mental strength, and now I am the strongest and fittest I ever have been (physically 20 years younger than my actual age per VO2 Max and DEXA scan results;))

I am a STOTT PILATES Mat and Reformer trained instructor, and excited to continue advancing my training towards a STOTT PILATES certified instructor. When not in the studio, I usually run either outdoor or on a treadmill, hike, work out in the home gym with my husband, cook Korean dishes (makes great sense as a South Korean native, right?;)), and watch body movement and wellness channels. My husband and I also love spending quality time traveling to the neighboring cities or globally when time allows.

At the heart of my teaching is employing my persistent problem-solving and client-focused service skills I trained through my previous careers. And I would love to be part of my clients’ discovery of the same benefits of Pilates I have been appreciating.

See you in the studio and happy 2026!

Binnie
