What a pleasant surprise!
What have you been doubting about yourself? Did you ever limit yourself based on your own simple assumption? Outdoor running was that for me. I always wanted to run outdoor and in fact tried multiple times before but it never lasted more than five minutes. After that, I ran only on a treadmill from time to time.
However, this year my husband encouraged me to try that again by joining the Veteran's Day 5K Run in town, and now I am hooked on it. I have been searching for another good outdoor running events since then!

I really appreciated the group energy (and of course, the fantastic Florida weather as you can see from the photo:)), and absolutely loved how steady I was to able to run even on hilly bridges.
What has changed me? I have gained physical and mental strength as well as endurance through Pilates. Even on a treadmill, now I can run at a faster pace, which does not tire me out easily any more. It is still hard when I am running but my current physical strength promotes me to lengthen the duration and my brain does not want to quit moving! This change does not happen overnight, and it will take months or even longer but your effort will definitely pay off.
